Who? Your instructor is Mary McCluskey, Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist and Director of the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy. She has been teaching and working with clients in massage therapy for more than 20 years.

How? This class gives you 8 continuing education hours of background in Salt Stone Massage approved by the North Dakota Board of Massage. Salt Stone Massage is a form of bodywork where a massage therapist uses warmed salt stones to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. The salt stones are heated and when combined with soothing massage, a signal is sent to the brain to turn off the stress (sympathetic nervous system) response and turn on the relaxation state of being (parasympathetic nervous system). When the muscles are able to relax, you are able to help problem areas release more readily. With this training and practice you can confidently use salt stones to help your clients relax and restore normal function. You will enjoy adding this additional service to your massage practice. This class includes instruction, practice, a set of 6 salt massage stones, and a bottle of sanitizing spray. Participants will need to bring an electric skillet (if possible), table (1 for every 2 participants), sheets, lubricant, and towels to class. Please read the below statement so you understand the terms of this registration.
Participants register by mail-in registration form including full payment in the form of a check made out to WSMT or credit card information. Registration deadline is the day of the class if there is still room in the class in which case registration and payment may be made in person. Please email Mary ahead of time if you are planning on registering the first day of class. If the school cancels the class due to low enrollment all fees will be returned in the form of a check by mail or cc refund and participant will be notified at least 1 day prior to beginning of the class. If participant cancels at least 10 days prior to the class all fees will be refunded in the form of a check by mail or cc refund. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the class will result in a $50 cancellation fee. The rest of the fee will be returned to the participant in the form of a check by mail or cc refund. Dates, times, locations, and cost of course(s) shall be listed on advertising for continuing education classes and any change in these factors will result in full refund to any participant who registers for a course.
