I'm just back from another really nice weekend class in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I had a blast teaching Fascial Yielding: Lower Body Techniques. What a dedicated and enjoyable group of therapists! We had fun freeing the fascia from the hips to the feet. Here in Wisconsin we are offering the Upper Body Techniques class in June. See our Continuing Education page for details. We'd love to see some graduates or new faces show up to learn this modality, a true basic which every massage therapist should have. These techniques make a great warm up for other therapeutic work and the class includes good background in the fascial system as well as review of muscles involved. Therapists in this class were surprised at how easy these techniques were to perform, offering a variety to the usual massage movements we make. They also discovered the work feels great and could easily be incorporated into any standard relaxation massage. So whether you would like to delve into the whole world of the fascia, discover some excellent therapeutic techniques, or add to your relaxation repertoire, this class will give you many facets to explore. You are invited to join us for the easy schedule we've set up! |
