Continuing Education

The Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy, Inc. is approved by the national Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.  We achieved this status in February, 2007.  Our seminars are available at our location in Germantown, Wisconsin, and also as a class brought to your location.  We are interested in providing quality continuing education in any part of the United States and possibly in other parts of the world.  Please contact us for information about bringing a seminar to you at:  info@wsmt.org or by calling our office 262-250-1276.

Fascial Yielding I:  Upper Body Techniques

Who?  Your instructor is Mary McCluskey, Wisconsin Certified Massage Therapist and Director of the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy.  She has been using this modality in her work for 9 years.

How?  This class gives you 16 continuing education hours of training in fascial yielding approved by the NCBTMB.  Fascial yielding is a form of soft tissue therapy intended for pain relief, increasing range of motion and balancing the body. This class includes an introduction to fascia and how it works as well as hands-on techniques for the upper body.  You will enjoy adding this important work to your professional toolbox.

Class is additionally approved by the North Dakota Board of Massage Therapy.  It includes everything from time and guidance at Lake Michigan’s shore selecting your very own stones to hands-on demonstrations and guided practice using your stones. You will enjoy learning to work with these tools in your hands and your body will luxuriate in receiving this work from a fellow therapist.
