Well, I'm heading off to North Dakota for the weekend again!  I'm finally ready to teach "Fascial Yielding" for the massage therapists over there and we'll be offering the class here in January, 2010.  See the Continuing Education section for more information.

So, what is Fascial Yielding?  They are techniques to help a client's connective tissue to soften, or yield any restrictions within it.  This work is pretty different from normal massage work.  The movements are very slow and sustained and the client is often actively involved in the process by moving with you as the therapist.

Fascia changes and becomes more pliable when a mechanical load is placed upon it.  We use this principle in Fascial work.  This class incorporates both background information about the fascial system and how it works as well as hands-on demonstration and practice of the techniques.

Why don't you think about joining us in the new year for some intriguing continuing education in Fascial Yielding?
